*Home Check Requirement*  

As part of our foster application review process, we conduct home checks to ensure the safety and suitability of your environment for our feline friends. This step is crucial in placing our cats in the best possible homes.

 

*Important Note:*

We often receive inquiries about fostering neonatal kittens. Please understand that caring for these young kittens is a significant commitment, requiring around-the-clock attention. If you are confident in your ability to provide this level of care, we would love to hear from you. Otherwise, we encourage you to consider fostering kittens who are older than 6 weeks.

We recognize that our fosters may have their own personal cats living in the same home as the foster cats. Please note that Femme Felines is not responsible for ensuring the separation of these cats.

When we rescue kittens, we place them in foster homes based on their individual needs. For instance, if a cat is visibly sick or injured, we will assign them to a medical foster home with someone who has medical experience.

As we may not always have the opportunity to vet our cats before they enter your home, we strongly advise that you separate your foster cat from your personal cats for the first 5-7 days. This precaution allows us to monitor for any signs of illness and ensures the health and safety of all cats involved.
