Femme Felines is looking for compassionate fosters to help us care for cats of all ages, from newborns to seniors. We’re eager to welcome more cats into our program, but we need your support to do so!

*Foster Requirements:*

- Complete an application and receive approval before fostering.

- Provide a safe, loving, and stable environment for your foster cat until they find their forever home (duration may vary).

- Engage in socializing your foster kitty!

- Treat your foster cat as a beloved member of your family.

- Maintain strong communication with Femme Felines throughout the fostering process.

*Important Notes:*  

We receive many inquiries about fostering neonatal kittens. Please be aware that caring for these young ones is a significant commitment that requires round-the-clock attention. If you're certain you can provide this level of care, we’d love to hear from you. Otherwise, we encourage you to consider fostering kittens who are older than 6 weeks.

We recognize that our fosters may have their own personal cats living in the same home as the foster cats. Please note that Femme Felines is not responsible for ensuring the separation of these cats.

When we rescue kittens, we place them in foster homes based on their individual needs. For instance, if a cat is visibly sick or injured, we will assign them to a medical foster home with someone who has medical experience.

As we may not always have the opportunity to vet our cats before they enter your home, we strongly advise that you separate your foster cat from your personal cats for the first 5-7 days. This precaution allows us to monitor for any signs of illness and ensures the health and safety of all cats involved.
